SPC was founded in the inner city in Chicago, IL in 1980 as a supplier to the Advertising Specialty industry, manufacturing custom sewn and printed products. 

SPC changed as client needs and markets changed. Our case manufacturing began in the mid-80’with padded sales cases for customers we were already serving. These customers needed their sales forces to have an organized, functional bag that would fulfill their specific needs as well as promote their company.

SPC experienced steady growth, designing thousands of unique products for a variety of industries. From a modest 2000 sq./ft. facility, SPC expanded and ultimately purchased a 15,000 sq. ft. facility on the west side of Chicago. our reputation for designing new concepts for clients spreading. For example, SPC was the first to sewn products company to design a case to package croquet and volleyball sets and accessories. We were also one of the leading designers of cooler-type lunch bags for commuters. 

In 1997, SPC Manufacturing Co. moved to Johnson City, TN, located in the Appalachian mountains of Eastern Tennessee. A 15,000 sq. ft building in historic downtown was renovated to accommodate the high tech demands of the company. SPC owner Kim Schneider, has been a leading advocate of historic restoration in this area. 

Today, SPC continues to partner with and exceed the expectations of our clients. As an American manufacturer of custom sewn products in a growing sea of imports, we take pride and ownership in the quality of our work and in our clients' success.
